About the Artist

Jennifer is a self taught portrait artist who believes in Traditional Classical Realism.

Born in Oregon (1963 if you are wondering….) Raised in New Hampshire. As an adult has lived in Rhode Island, Virginia, Texas, Georgia, and now resides in Saint Augustine, Florida.

Jennifer fell in love with color upon receiving her first box of crayons and by the time she was 6 years old she knew that her dream was to be a visual artist.

After years of dabbling in every creative endeavor she could incorporate into her life while raising her two beautiful daughters (including murals, calligraphy, window painting and interior design), 2011 presented her with an opportunity to try her hand at her dream… portraiture. Never having used oils as a medium, Jennifer had an immediate appreciation for them upon her first try.

Portraiture has become her passion with great attention to detail and enormous respect for realism.

Jennifer's goal is always to communicate the personality and soul of the subject through the visual result in her paintings.

Watercolors, acrylics, cold wax and mixed media have led to creating abstracts, coastal, and figurative artworks!

In addition to painting and spending time with her 5 beautiful grandchildren, Jennifer enjoys writing poetry and some creative challenges like writing a website bio in third person!
